Clinical Hypnotherapy
A gentle yet powerful way to support change.
You’ve found your way here because something’s not sitting right. Maybe it’s stress, trauma, habits, or health. Maybe you’ve tried other approaches and want something different — or maybe you’re just curious.
Either way, I’m glad you’re here.
Hypnotherapy can be a deeply supportive tool for change. And with the right practitioner, it doesn’t have to feel scary, strange (well, maybe a tiny bit!), or out of reach.
I offer practical, evidence-informed clinical hypnotherapy that meets you where you are.
Whether your goals are personal, professional, emotional, or physical,
we work together at your pace to make change feel possible (and sustainable).
What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a gentle, therapeutic approach that uses focused relaxation to help you access your subconscious mind. In this state, you can explore thoughts and patterns, working toward positive changes with ease and comfort.
Hypnotherapy is an evidence-based approach widely used by psychologists, counsellors, and psychiatrists around the world to support meaningful change. Backed by research, it’s a respected therapeutic tool that helps individuals access their inner strengths and overcome personal challenges.
How it Works
During hypnotherapy, you’ll enter a relaxed yet focused state, similar to deep daydreaming. Here, your mind is more receptive to positive suggestions, helping you change habits, manage stress, and develop new, empowering perspectives.
Your eyes are closed in hypnosis but you're not asleep and you will hear every word I say. In hypnosis, the word 'sleep' refers to quietening that highly alert, guard dog part of your brain. But it's never (and you're never) fully asleep. It's more like we're simply allowing that guard dog to relax just enough so that the outside world doesn't concern you as much for a while.

How a Session Starts

Your session begins with a conversation to understand your goals and what's happening in your world. This also gives you an opportunity to tell me anything you'd like to vent to the right person.
On your first session, we might do some short hypnosis warm ups to gauge how you respond and if you're able to use your imagination.
You’ll hear my words, always be in control, and be able to bring yourself out of hypnosis at any time should you need to (e.g. if a smoke alarm goes off).
It's normal for thoughts to come in and out and all you have to do when this happens, is direct your attention back to my voice and back on track.

Common Myths – Debunked

What Hypnotherapy Isn’t:
Hypnotherapy isn’t mind control — and it’s definitely not stage hypnosis.
No clucking like a chicken here, I promise!
What Hypnotherapy Is:
It’s a therapeutic tool that helps you feel more connected to yourself, more in control of your patterns, and more capable of reaching your goals.
Results vary from person to person — because you are in the driver’s seat.
The more open and willing you are to go inward (that’s what we call the depth of trance), and the more ready you are to put insights into action, the more powerful the results can be.
And the best part?
Like any skill, the more you practice hypnosis, the better it works for you.
Your Role in Behaviour Change
Hypnotherapy is a collaborative journey. While you set the goals and make the changes, I’m here to guide you with proven techniques that make transformation feel achievable. Together, we’ll work toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you, helping you build new, positive beliefs and habits and let go of any old, unhelpful ones.
