How Can I Lose Weight with Hypnosis?

Weight loss hypnosis is a field surrounded with ambiguity and so it's a good idea to find out what it exactly entails so that you can have realistic expectations before you even begin. It would be amazing if you could relax in a chair for one hour and wake up 1kg lighter just from the magic of hypnosis... or even to just attend weight loss hypnosis sessions over a series of weeks and without having to change your diet or add any extra exercise to your routine... the weight just starts to magically melt away. Unfortunately, those services don't exist.

But here are some ways my clients have lost weight with hypnosis:

  1. It can help you to break unhealthy habits and replace them with ones that are better for your mind, body and soul

  2. It can help you to discover and delete any unhelpful beliefs you held about your body and your ability to lose weight

  3. It can help you to find out the 'why' behind your struggles with weight. Sometimes this 'why' is something that started long, long ago in our lives. And once we address this part of the problem... the solutions can become so much simpler

  4. It can help you to find ways to enjoy food that makes your body happy, ditch the diets, and learn to know when you are hungry, when you've had enough to keep your body nutritionally sustained, and reduce the desire to over-eat, eat for emotional reasons or due to boredom

  5. It can help you to discover ways of moving every day that gets your heart pumping in a fun and enjoyable way

Some hypnotherapists out there might say that one session is all you need. But in my experience, the first session is just the beginning and over 3 sessions you can really dig deep and unpack, unravel and transform your love for your body, your love for yourself, gain an enjoyment for physical activity (that is right and safe for you) and create a healthy relationship with food.

Life is too short to be in a constant battle with food. Food is glorious and should be celebrated and enjoyed.
